Villa Venezia Wedding
I’m not gonna lie, I was looking forward to this wedding ever since the day Brianna had reached out to me in 2018 to shoot her engagement session. Why? 1. Because I knew from how she answered my initial questions that I ask every couple, we were going to be great friends. And 2. if there’s one thing that’s really important to me when working with couples, it’s that I want to be able to connect with them in anyway shape or form that I can. Being a photographer has been my dream for many years so when the opportunity presents itself, I’m taking it very seriously and jumping for joy all at the same time. SO it was my first time meeting her but I have known her now husband, Johnny for many years. We actually used to hang out when we were much younger in middle school! I was taken back by how perfect they are for each other so I knew I had a really important job to do by capturing their bond & love for each other in a very special way.
We did the engagement session at the Saugerties Light House (it’s on my blogging list!) And they were so patient while I was practicing posing from a course I had taken by Katelyn James called the Posing Evolution (game changer). So I had an entire year to practice, practice, practice working with many couples and building my photography business until August finally came around. I had been looking forward to this day for over a year, little do they know I wasn’t really kidding when I said, “I might be more excited for this than you guys are!”
Brianna, Johnny, their friends, and family gave me my dream wedding. They helped me reach a huge goal. Which was to successfully shoot and document their wedding by creating some of my best work yet. Of course the other weddings I photographed in 2019 were huge building blocks too, so I’m not trying to talk them down, but here is why this was such a big deal for me. So I graduated from Pine Bush High School in 2010… I would say that 60-75% of the guests at their wedding were local and even from Pine Bush so they know who I am. I would say 90% of my business right now is coming from referrals so I had a lot to live up to! Needless to say, their wedding day was everything I needed it to be. Good vibes from amazing people allowed for beautiful, well-executed photography. Take a look for yourself and be sure to drop a comment below 🙂
